Ihunde Resort Escape – Bulago Island, Lake Victoria | 3 Days, 2 Nights

Day 1 – Arrival & Island Immersion 
Start your morning with a scenic 60-minute speedboat ride from Gerenge Garuga, crossing Lake Victoria and taking in views of the distant Ssese Islands. Upon arrival at Ihunde’s private dock, you'll be warmly welcomed with fresh tropical juice. Settle into your luxurious lakeside accommodation—choose from a private deck suite with jacuzzi, executive suite, standard suite, or group-friendly bunkers. After a leisurely lunch on the terrace overlooking the lake, enjoy a refreshing dip in the infinity pool or stroll through the resort’s lush grounds while bird watching along a forest or beach trail. As the sun begins to set, savour sundowner cocktails at the beachfront bar, followed by a family-style fusion dinner featuring locally caught fish. 

Day 2 – Explore & Experience 
Start your day with a guided pre-breakfast walk through Bulago’s rainforest, tuning in to the exuberant birdlife. After breakfast, the adventure options abound: bike or quad along scenic hilltops and beaches, cycle around the island, or embark on a fishing excursion for Nile perch and tilapia. Optional visits include the Ngamba Island Chimp Sanctuary or an immersive trip to a nearby village for cultural insights. After a delicious lunch, unwind poolside or indulge in a spa treatment. End the day on a high note with a sunset cruise, complete with cocktails on board. Later, gather around a bonfire for a beachside BBQ and roasted marshmallows under the stars. 

Day 3 – Adieu & Departure 
Enjoy a leisurely morning with a hearty breakfast and one last swim or beachside rest. At midday, check out and board the boat back to Garuga, arriving before lunch—perfectly timed for your journey back to Kampala or onward adventure.
