These terms govern enquiries and bookings made with Maleng Travel, Kampala, Uganda (UTB/RTT/TT/2020/00330).
Bookings & payment
- A booking is confirmed once we issue a written confirmation and receive the agreed deposit.
- Gorilla and chimpanzee permits: within 6 months of travel, 100% payment is required; beyond 6 months, a 50% deposit secures the permit with the balance due 90 days before travel.
- Permits are subject to Uganda Wildlife Authority / Rwanda Development Board rules and availability.
Changes & cancellations
- One free reschedule is allowed at least 14 days before travel; further changes may carry a surcharge and must fall within 12 months of the original date.
- Cancellation terms depend on lodges and permit authorities; we always pass on the maximum refund available to us.
Travel responsibilities
Travelers are responsible for valid passports, visas, vaccinations (yellow fever certificate is required for Uganda) and comprehensive travel insurance, which we strongly recommend for all safaris.
Liability
Maleng Travel acts as a destination management company and agent for lodges, airlines and activity providers. We take every reasonable care in selecting partners but cannot accept liability for matters outside our direct control, including weather, wildlife movements, or changes by permit authorities.
