Born from a Passion for Africa’s Wild
Founded in 2008 by Tony Ofungi, Maleng Travel grew from a simple belief: that Africa’s greatest wildlife encounters should be accessible to every discerning traveler willing to step off the beaten path.
Tony, a second-generation tourism professional who trained in Austria and played a role in opening Disney Animal Kingdom, brought global hospitality standards back home to Uganda. Based in Kampala, our team now operates across Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, and DR Congo.
We are licensed by the Uganda Tourism Board (License: UTB/RTT/TT/2020/00330) and insured through SATIB — ensuring every journey meets the highest safety and quality standards in East African tourism.
