About This Journey

Your adventure begins after a hearty breakfast as you head out on an excursion to the Source of the Nile in Jinja. The journey takes approximately two hours depending on traffic flow through bustling fruit markets, the lush Mabira Forest, tea and sugar plantations. Depending on timings, make a stop at the twin waters of Sezibwa Falls en route. After lunch in Jinja, relive the romantism of the 19th Century explorers as you embark on a motorised boat cruise. The river’s shores reveal avian life from otters and Nile Monitor lizards that inhabit this unique ecosystem. Sight the oldest bridge in Uganda that linked the Central and Eastern Uganda onward to the busy searoute .Your journey wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Mahatma Gandhi Monument and explore the old town center. Return to Kampala,arrriving late evening.
